There's a common saying that people throw around when talking about post-pregnancy weight loss. "It takes 9 months to put it on, so naturally it takes 9 months to take it off." I have never really believed this to be true thinking that if you worked at it the weight should come off much faster. I now believe the saying after living it myself.
I lost about 75% of my weight right away after the first few months (thank you breastfeeding) despite not being careful of my diet and not working out regularly (I'm not counting walking around downtown as exercise). Since then I've found that my body would not shed any weight for a while then drop about 5 pounds, then plateau again, then drop another chunk of weight. I have been going to the gym regularly about 4 or 5 times a week and staying as long as Kaitlyn allows. I returned to my pre-pregnancy weight about a month or two ago, but not my pre-pregnancy body. Over the last month, my body had toned up more and I've even shed a few more pounds. My stomach could still use some work....I guess I'll have to use those pilates DVD's.
