Kaitlyn was once again a lap baby (a baby under 2 riding on the lap of a parent in an airplane....basically so you don't have to buy them a ticket) for our trip up to San Jose to visit our friends Steve and Katie. This was 2 weekends in a row for her and her 4th vacation in an airplane. If only she could accumulate frequent flier miles! In steep contrast to last weekend with Sam where she cried almost the entire flight, I was able to put my mama magic into play and managed to get her to sleep in my arms for both flights. Our time in San Jose was relaxing and enjoyable. Steve and Katie prepared us some great meals and we were even able to go out Saturday night thanks to Katie's parents offering to babysit Kaitlyn. Somehow, the camera never came out of the suitcase :(

10 down, 1 to go
Since this blog isn't ENTIRELY about Kaitlyn......
Sam passed his last written test to get his license. This was the last of 10 tests. Now he just has to get a bunch of paperwork approved by the state (which will take a long time since we're talking about a state agency), and then take his oral exam. This is great news. Now just one more BIG hurdle.

Zoo
Today I took Kaitlyn to the zoo where we met up with my Aunt and Uncle who were in San Diego on vacation. Heidi, who is on Spring Break, also joined us. The weather was good, the animals were active, and Kaitlyn stayed happy almost the whole day.

With Tom and Joan

Happily sitting with Tom who "never looses control" when it comes to babies.
